Refrigerator Bread & Butter Pickles

This recipe came out in our newspaper and was sent in by my friend, Joan. It was given to her by one of our former pastor's wives, Margaret. It's very easy to make. No cooking. Keeps for weeks in refrigerator.

4 c sugar
4 c vinegar
2 teas tumeric
2 teas celery salt
2 teas ground mustard
2 Tbs salt

Mix syrup mixture in jar and tightly pack in sliced cucumbers.

Loving the recipes here...I have looked over each one...yummmy! If you are looking for a recipe to post, how about the one for puffy pancakes? Brian still has never had them! Just a thought.....sounds so good right now!

I don't know, Joy. I think I'd rather have you and Brian over for breakfast!

I sure wish I could hop over and visit you. I picture us sitting on the porch and drinking some iced tea and having some little sandwiches with the pickles. We could chat and laugh for hours. Life is so short, I need to take more time for fun and sharing time with my friends.
